This two-hour workshop can be delivered in person at your organisation, or online
All participants must be aged 18+
No prior knowledge required
By the end of the workshop, participants will:
Understand recent changes to the legislation and how they apply to your role.
Have an increased understanding of the types of risks children face in an organisation and how to reduce these risks.
Discuss ideas for how your organisation can increase their commitment to child safety.
Why do it?
In 2017, the Royal Commission recommended 10 child safe standards to keep children safe from sexual abuse, drawing on its findings, research and consultation about what makes organisations child safe.
The NSW Standards build on these standards but expand them to address other types of harm and abuse children can experience including physical, psychological, emotional and neglect.
This means that your organisation’s staff must understand their obligations to report and respond to concerns relating to child safety.
Growing Future’s training is easy to understand, practical, and can be tailored to your organisation’s needs.
