By the end of the workshop, participants will:

  • Understand the types of harm and abuse children can experience and the possible signs

  • Develop an understanding of strategies to respond to disclosures and concerns a child may be at risk

  • Have an understanding of trauma informed responding in an education setting

  • Develop strategies to limit the risk of vicarious trauma

Why do it?

Recent statistics report that 1 in 32 Australian children had contact with Child Protection in 2019-2020 yet many educators and teachers struggle to recognise harm or feel confident supporting children who have experienced trauma.

Growing Future’s training is easy to understand, practical, and can be tailored to your organisation’s needs.

"Helen is a wonderful trainer, with a vast knowledge that speaks in ways that make it easy to learn."
